Peer Pressure

As a lot of you know the crime rate in the country is has been going up, but here’s something you may not know: the juvenile crime rate in the country has been going up dramatically. There are many reasons for this but there is one major one that I’m going to talk about: Peer Pressure.
Peer Pressure is when you don’t want to do something but others will make you, either by words or by force. Peer pressure with words is when people threaten to make up stories about you or tell your whole school you’re a chicken. Peer pressure by force is when they hit or shove you and threaten to do worse.
A lot people who suffer peer pressure will do what they’re told because they don’t want the stories to come out or don’t want to get hurt. But the truth is there is a way out, telling an adult even a teacher could get it stopped. If that doesn’t work, going to the police is the smartest thing to do. Another tip is to travel in numbers, they less likely to beat you up if you are with people. Remember, even though more kids are getting into trouble, you don’t have to be forced into it.
